Details: Technical Innovations 10' Pro-Dome observatory with three (3) wall rings, rotation motors and shutter motor. Dome and wall rings were preassembled offsite, then disassembled for delivery and installation. A 3' by 3' concrete block pier provides telescope isolation from the deck. This was a new home construction and Durango Skies worked with the builder to provide details for deck and concrete pier construction.

Start of Observatory Installation

It was early January with 2 - 3 feet of snow on the ground. The stairs are not yet in place, making it a challenge to get the dome and other equipment to the deck.

Start of Day Two

The dome and wall ring assembly is complete. Shutter cabling, electrical wiring, motors and testing were completed on day two.

Securing the Shutters

The shutter system was temporarily secured in case of overnight winds.

The observatory deck is complete with a wood rail for saftey. River stone covers the telescope isolation pier.
